What Does A Pigeon's Dropping In Attic Mean?
The attic is one of those places in a home that seem to attract all sorts of pests. So when you see a pigeon's dropping in the attic you may wonder what they mean. The first obvious answer is that you may have the beginning of an infestation on the way. The most important meaning however is that there is some damage to the structure of your home. That damage can be the one thing that will get not only pigeons, but other pests that can cause even more damage to your home. If a pigeon was able to get in, then there is a chance that squirrels and rats will follow.
So what do you do when you see a pigeon's dropping in the attic? You have to first get the pigeon out of the house if it is still inside. Once the pigeon is outside you will need to find the hole and seal it. Getting the pigeon out is not enough because if you do not close the hole then it will just come back. Make a full inspection of the roof and the sides of your home and plug the hole. If you need materials you should still plug it with something, while you get them. Tin foil is a perfect temporary solution to avoid the pigeon and other pests from coming in.
